Support for the parents who love them
Most parents arrive worried they’ve done something wrong, and they haven’t. Some of the most useful work I do never has a child in the room at all.
- Parent sessions
- A place to think out loud about your child with someone who has sat with a few hundred of them. Sometimes it’s all a family needs, and often it’s where we begin.
- Circle of Security®
- An attachment-based approach to parenting that I’m trained to facilitate: less technique, and more understanding of what your child is asking for underneath the behaviour.
- Neurodivergent families
- AutPlay® certified and neurodiversity-affirming. If you’re exhausted by systems and wary of anyone talking about fixing your child, we’ll get along.
- Families in transition
- Separation, blending, fostering, adopting, or a loss the whole household is carrying. Both homes are welcome to be part of the work.
You won’t be handed a programme
I won’t send you home with a behaviour chart or a schedule to run. We’ll talk about what’s actually happening in your house, what your child seems to be telling you, and what would help this week. You’ll always know what’s emerging in your child’s sessions.
Reading first is fine too
The BC Play Therapy Association publishes a caregivers’ guide to finding a play therapist, including the questions worth asking any therapist you’re considering, me included. It isn’t me selling myself, which is exactly why it’s useful.
Not sure whether parent sessions or play therapy make more sense? Send me a short note and we can work that out together.
