Funding you may already have

Extended health
Most BC extended-health plans reimburse counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and I’ll give you a receipt with everything your insurer needs on it.
Autism Funding
BC’s Autism Funding Unit provides up to $22,000 a year for children under 6 and up to $6,000 a year for ages 6 to 18, and counselling with an RCC is an eligible expense. Family counselling is eligible for the under-6 group.
CVAP
I’m registered with BC’s Crime Victim Assistance Program, which can fund counselling for children affected by crime or violence.
Not sure which applies?
Ask me. Working out which pot of money covers what is a normal part of a first conversation, and you don’t need the answer before you write.

The practical bits

  • Sessions are 50 minutes, paid at the time of the session by e-transfer or card through Jane.
  • Twenty-four hours’ notice to change or cancel, so the time can go to another family.
  • In person in Penticton, or securely online anywhere in British Columbia.
  • Booking, intake, receipts, and secure video all run through Jane, which is Canadian and appropriate for health information.

Ask me anything about cost, first

Most people write two lines, which is plenty, and we can work the rest out together. If you’d rather talk first, we can set up a free 15-minute call with no obligation and no paperwork.
