Supervision and play therapy consultation
I’m a BCACC Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS), a BC Registered Play Therapist, and a Certified Synergetic Play Therapy Supervisor. I work with counsellors early in registration and with experienced clinicians moving into play therapy. The questions differ, though the stance doesn’t.
How I supervise
Use of self before technique. We’ll spend as much time on what happens in your own nervous system in the room as on the case material, because that’s the instrument. Bring the session you’d rather not show anyone.
Clinical supervision
Toward BCACC registration, or ongoing. Individual, in person or online.
SPT consultation
Synergetic Play Therapy consultation at supervisor level, case-based.
Group and case circles
Small standing groups for clinicians working with children.
One-off consults
A single hour on one case, when that’s what’s needed.
Referring a child
- Scope is children roughly 3 to 12 and their parents: anxiety, dysregulation, trauma, grief, family transition, and neurodivergence.
- Not a fit: custody assessments, court reports, or primary substance-use treatment.
- To refer, have the parent contact me directly, or send a note with parental consent. There’s no form.
- The BCPTA Document for Pediatricians is here for GPs, pediatricians, and school counsellors.
Supervision enquiries, consultation, or a referral question: one line is enough.
